CPHM Piranhas Coaching Staff

 Head Swimming Coach

Chuck Dunham is currently the head coach for both the Shenendehowa Girls and Boys Varsity Swimming and Diving Programs. During his three year tenure as boys coach, he has compiled a 32-0 duel meet record, won 3 consecutive Section II Championships, and 2 consecutive NYSPHSAA Championships. A multiple coach of the year award winner, Dunham previously was head coach for the 2006 WMSSL Champion Amherst Tritons, a USS club team that practices on UMASS campus, as well as assistant coach for the UMASS mens and womens programs. Chuck has had years of experience working with swimmers of all different abilities at various levels and brings enthusiasm plus a positive attitude to all of his workouts.


Assistant Coaches

Scott Seligman is currently the head coach for the Knolls Swim Club, and the Mohonasen Girls Varsity Swimming and Diving Team. He is also a mathematics teacher in the Mohonasen district, and is also the Co-Ed Modified Swimming and Diving head coach. Scott is a former Shenendehowa Boys Swimming and Diving captain and state qualifier who went on to become a New England Champion and school record holder at Keene State in New Hampshire. Scott looks forward to bringing all of his experience and knowledge to the team and can not wait to start!

Alyssa Kouzan is an 8th grade mathematics teacher at Niskayuna High School and assistant coach for the Knolls Swim Club. She has been a swimmer since the age of five and was a captain for her high school team at Niskayuna. After high school, she went on to swim for Oswego and is truly looking forward to coaching with the team this year!

Cathy Brauer is a graduate of Shenedehowa and Niagara University.  While at Niagara, Cathy competed with the Purple Eagle Swim Team. She has been an assistant swim coach for 12 years with the Southern Saratoga YMCA and Adirondack Bluefins.  In addition to coaching she has taught children how to swim for many years.  Cathy is a Registered Nurse and works as a nurse for Shenedehowa in High School East.  Cathy is the mother of three college swimmers, Meaghan, Ryan and Caitlin and lives in Clifton Park with her husband Kevin.

Stephanie Chan is currently completing her graduate work to become a Certified School Psychologist at the College of Saint Rose. Originally from Fairport, NY, she was a state qualifier in high school and went on to swim for SUNY Oswego. At Oswego, she was on several nationally qualifying relays. Stephanie also coached for the Oswego Lakers Swim Club during her senior year.
