CPHM Piranhas Group Levels


Mini-Piranhas are an introductory group for younger swimmers who are transitioning into competitive swimming for the first time. This group practices twice a week for 1 hour and works on the basic fundamentals of swimming in a fun and interactive environment. Mini-Piranhas will compete at local meets only when the coach, parent, and swimmer are comfortable competing.

Equipment: Bathing Suit, goggles, and water bottle


Age Group I is designed for swimmers ages 5-10 and practice 1 - 1 1/2 hours at a time up to four times a week. The focus is placed on proper technique and building good practice habits while learning the vital characteristics of competitive swimming. Swimmers will be expected to compete at local meets.

Equipment: Bathing Suit, goggles, and water bottle


Age Group II is designed for swimmers ages 8-12 and practice 1 1/2 hours up to four times a week. Stroke development is a continued focus while a natural transition to more endurance training takes place. Swimmers will be expected to compete at local meets

Equipment: Bathing Suit, goggles, fins, and water bottle


Junior Group is for swimmers ages 11-14 and practice 2 hours up to six times a week. This group is for more advanced swimmers who have proficient stroke technique, a solid work ethic, and higher level of commitment. Swimmers will be expected to practice a minimum of 15 practices per month and are expected to compete at local meets and possibly qualifiers to regional meets as well.

Equipment: Bathing Suit, goggles, fins, pull buoy, snorkel and water bottle


Senior Group is designed for swimmers ages 13 and over and practice 2-3 hours up to six times a week plus additional dry-land training. A minimum of 18 practices per month are required and swimmers will compete at local meets as well as additional meets based upon qualifying times.
